Visa Application
Patients are required to apply for a visa or e-visa before traveling to Turkey. Applications can typically be completed online or through Turkish embassies and consulates. Depending on nationality, some patients may be exempt from visa requirements and can enter Turkey for touristic purposes, usually with a stay allowance of up to 90 days.
For those who require a visa, the process may take time due to documentation and procedural steps. Preparing for Your Visit to Turkey
Before traveling, it is important to check which documents are required for entry into Turkey. We can assist you with e-visa or regular visa applications, and if you plan to stay longer than your visa allows, we can also guide you regarding residence permit procedures. To avoid any delays, it is recommended to book your flight well in advance and secure your travel dates in line with your scheduled surgery.
In addition, a caregiver service is included in your surgery package. During your hospital stay, a caregiver who speaks your language will be available to support you whenever needed, ensuring a more comfortable and stress-free experience.
Pre-Operative Examination and Surgery
Our team will welcome you at the airport and accompany you to your hotel, where you can relax in a comfortable and high-quality environment. The following day, you will have the opportunity to explore Istanbul with a guided city tour, including visits to key attractions and local dining experiences.
Afterward, you will be transferred to the hospital for essential medical tests to evaluate your eligibility for the surgery. These tests are usually completed and reviewed on the same day or the following day. Once the results are ready, you will meet the doctor for a face-to-face consultation to finalize your treatment plan.
After all pre-operative steps are completed, you will be asked to sign a consent form confirming your approval for the procedure. Following this, you will be admitted to the hospital and prepared for the surgery.
Hospital Process
The quality of the hospital where your limb lengthening surgery is performed plays a crucial role in the overall success of the procedure. For this reason, we collaborate with one of the leading hospitals in Turkey to ensure high standards of care and safety.
Once your doctor confirms that you are eligible for the surgery, you will be admitted to the hospital for approximately 5 days. Shortly After Surgery
Congratulations on successfully completing your limb lengthening surgery. Starting from the first day after the operation, you will be assisted in taking your initial steps with the help of a walker. (For the Precice 2.2 method, walking is not recommended during the first 2–2.5 months; instead, a wheelchair is provided to support your mobility.)
A dedicated caregiver will be available to assist you with your daily needs during this period. After approximately 4–5 days, when you are ready for discharge, your doctor will provide detailed instructions on how to perform daily lengthening, care for surgical areas, manage bandages, and improve mobility while minimizing discomfort.
